ملخصReal-time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) remains the "gold standard" for the rapid molecular detection and laboratory confirmation of the Rubella virus. It is significantly more sensitive than conventional endpoint PCR and is preferred for diagnosing acute rubella and Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS).
